KING LOTUS

On March 25th (turf trial, 1000m: 8-8-7), the horse showed a lack of acceleration after covering 400m. On March 14th (Happy Valley barrier trial, 1200m: 3-4-3) it ran comfortably finishing third. On February 25th (turf trial, 1000m: 4-3-2), the horse gradually moved forward with attractive strides. This is its debut run as a new import, having started training in Hong Kong in early October of last year. It has completed three barrier trials this season, showing slight improvement. The horse possesses a low stride and some early speed, with a quick foot turnover and willing attitude. Best suited to distances of 1200m to 1400m, Lyle Hewitson is maintaining the ride for its debut and it warrants attention.
