Six weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley mile, tracking the leaders and making a move in the middle stages but fading significantly to finish well-beaten. A recent barrier trial showed moderate form. Returning to Sha Tin over 1400m, carrying a five-pound weight reduction, facing time differences within its group, presents a disadvantageous situation; even with prior success at this distance and an inside draw, it’s not considered a strong contender in this race. (On April 15th, Conghua turf trial over 1200m: finished 5th in the first section, 5th in the second, and 2nd overall - showed willingness to move forward on the straight and responded to urging).
