He was beaten by two and a half lengths and showed good ability. Now stepping back to Happy Valley over a mile for its debut at this distance, it benefits from a two-pound weight reduction. This distance should suit, requiring a hold-up tactic to unleash a strong finishing kick – the strongest in the field. Despite drawing a less favorable barrier, conditions remain promising for a good run.
