On May 13th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse deliberately held back and chasing comfortably. Three weeks ago, in a Sha Tin mile race, it displayed promising form, jumping slowly but finishing strongly with fast sections to finish fourth, beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial didn't quite match the required pace. Another turf trial over 1400m has been completed, and this time the horse will benefit from a five-pound weight reduction. Despite drawing an inside barrier, a hold-up tactics is expected; while showing a good finishing kick, the overall section times in its group were unremarkable, suggesting it's best suited for a supporting role.
