He was beaten by one and a half lengths. Back on the Happy Valley mile track this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the barrier draw isn’t ideal and there appears to be limited synergy between trainer and jockey; despite similar sectionals times, he can keep up with the pace setters, but has an average barrier position. Derek Leung replaces the previous rider, who understands the horse's temperament well and doesn’t seem to have a specific plan for this race.
