On May 13th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse urged along throughout. In April, this horse performed poorly over a Sha Tin 1400m race, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before finishing with a fast final two sections but ultimately losing badly. After a long break, he underwent one barrier trial but didn’t keep up with the pace. Another turf trial over 1600m is scheduled, this time with a four-pound weight reduction, however drawing an outside barrier isn't ideal and there appears to be limited synergy between horse and jockey. Despite similar section times compared to others, he needs to settle towards the rear, but boasts the strongest finishing kick of his group. Karis Teetan will now ride, with the jockey possessing a good understanding of the horse’s temperament."
