On May 26th, this horse recorded (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 2-2-2), showing a steady pace and moving forward comfortably. Four weeks ago in a Sha Tin turf mile, the performance was good; a slow jump but settled towards the rear, accelerating mid-race and making ground to finish third, beaten by just one length. A recent barrier trial didn’t show significant improvement. Returning for its debut run over Happy Valley 1200m this time, it will carry seven pounds more weight and has drawn poorly, resulting in a disadvantageous position. Despite four wins from thirteen races at this distance and comparable times within the group, solid preparation is needed but a winning strategy isn't obvious.
