Two weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Sha Tin 1400m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and making an effort in the middle stages but failing to sustain it. Switching to a Happy Valley mile now for its first attempt at this distance, it will carry one pound more this time. The step up in distance is not ideal, and the overall situation isn’t favorable despite drawing a reasonable barrier. A hold-up tactic is likely; finishing kick is decent, but needs further observation after one run.
