On 9/6 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 4-2-1), the horse showed initiative to track the leaders and had plenty in hand. On 26/5 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 4-5-3) it ran relaxed and actively moved up, displaying an attractive stride. On 13/5 (Conghua turf trial 800m: 7-3-2), the horse performed competently after a brief rest. In April, this horse ran below expectations over Happy Valley’s 1200m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before finishing with a fast final two sections to secure fourth place, beaten by only two lengths. After a long break, it has completed three barrier trials showing some improvement. Dropping in class for its upcoming race, returning to Sha Tin over 1200m turf, it will carry an additional three pounds this time. Despite having four wins from seven starts over this distance and competitive section times, the inside draw suggests a hold-up tactic. With a strong finishing kick relative to the competition, the horse appears well-placed. Compared to other runners, it possesses a higher level of ability. Andrea Atzeni takes the ride, forming a promising partnership with the horse and benefiting from trainer’s confidence; preparations are thorough and this runner should be respected.
