Six weeks ago, this horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in 2-1-2, showing moderate effort. Four weeks prior, the horse ran poorly in a straight course race, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace but no finishing kick. One barrier trial showed slight improvement. Dropping back in class, this horse will now contest Sha Tin over 1200m, carrying 15 pounds more this time. The horse has previous form at this distance, good times recorded against its peers and drawing an advantageous inside barrier. Expect a hold-up tactics; the finishing kick is expected to be strong. Jerry Chau takes the ride, with the jockey having some understanding of the horse’s capabilities. Despite a less than ideal situation and trainer/jockey relationship, there's potential for redemption.
