Three weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling well but lacking a finishing kick and trailing significantly. A recent barrier trial showed only moderate form. Now stepping up in class for its first attempt on the straight course, it benefits from a nine-pound weight reduction. Although previously successful twice at this distance, its ability to keep pace with leaders remains uncertain. It is expected to settle back in the field this time due to a poor draw. Despite showing some finishing speed, it may not be strong enough against its rivals, and trainer-jockey synergy appears limited; connections are hoping for a place.
