On June 10th, (dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-2) travelled wide throughout and made ground. In April, this horse performed poorly over a Sha Tin mile, took the lead easily but faded in the final stages. After a long break, he’s had one barrier trial showing slight improvement. Another dirt trial over 1400m, this time with a three-pound weight reduction, but his section times were not impressive. Although he has shown form over this distance before and is expected to be forwardly positioned, the overall group speed was weak. Despite this, trainer and jockey appear confident in each other, and the horse seems well prepared for the race, though opportunities are limited."
