On 4/9, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m at Conghua in third position throughout, showing little change of pace. On 8/21, also at Conghua over 1200m, he showed an average response under urging. He is making his seasonal debut this time. Two barrier trials have not revealed much potential. This race sees a 3lb weight increase, and the horse has previous form over this distance with comparable times to its group. Drawing a good barrier provides opportunities to track the pace, a favorable position. Based on the horse's ability, he appears to be the strongest contender in this field. Jerry Chau takes the ride, having some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities; work is sufficient and positive. A clean break should allow him to settle forward and compete well.
