Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a strong forward pace. He finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths. On debut over a shorter distance at Happy Valley, he benefits from a two-pound weight reduction but the trip is not ideal. This time around, a hold-up tactic is expected, however, his finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete with rivals. Despite drawing a good barrier and the booking of Andrea Atzeni, the jockey has limited experience with this horse’s capabilities. Trainer and jockey seem to have a good understanding, but it's considered primarily a trial run.
