Drawing a favorable barrier, the jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, and the trainer and jockey maintain reasonable confidence in each other. Despite a time difference with stablemates, the situation isn't unfavorable; as long as it jumps cleanly and settles into a tracking position, finishing among the leaders should be achievable.
