On October 21st (dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-2), the horse pushed for second place but displayed tongue lolling during the straight. On October 9th (dirt trial 1200m: 7-9-7), he was level at the 700m mark, briefly losing balance before making up some ground with urging in the final stages. September 27th (Happy Valley turf trial 1700m: 1-1-1-6) saw him lead initially but faded down the straight. September 11th (dirt trial 1200m: 3-2-3), he briefly took the lead in the final section, finishing third with urging. August 30th (Sha Tin turf trial 1000m: 10-9-11) saw a slow start and an awkward gait. After a long break, this is his seasonal debut. Five barrier trials have been completed showing slight improvement. Switching to Happy Valley over a mile for his first attempt at this distance, he will carry five pounds more this time. The distance is not ideal, drawing a poor barrier presents unfavorable conditions, and the trainer-jockey combination appears less compatible. However, connections are planning a hold-up tactic, relying on finishing kick which remains strong within the group. Hollie Doyle takes the ride, aware of the horse’s weaknesses, and his true form is yet to be seen.
