Three weeks ago, over a Sha Tin 1400m, the performance was poor; slow to jump and settled towards the rear. He quickened in the second section but faded badly, finishing well-beaten. A subsequent trial over Happy Valley’s 1200m sees the horse with a two-pound weight reduction this time. This distance has yielded three defeats so far with a weak finishing kick. The barrier draw is not favorable and trainer/jockey combination hasn't been successful, despite similar times in previous runs. Despite drawing well and potentially able to track the pace, the jockey doesn’t appear fully confident in the horse’s ability, and chances look limited.
