Two weeks ago, over this same distance, the horse performed well, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. The pace was steady but he finished strongly, beaten two and a half lengths. Returning to racing now, he will carry 17 pounds more than last time. He has previous form over this course and distance with competitive times in his group, drawing an advantageous inside barrier. He is expected to settle back in the field and finish with a good kick; considered a strong contender in this race.
