13/4 (Conghua turf trial 800m: 5-5-5) Showed continuous improvement, picking up momentum to pass rivals late. 27/3 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 6-10-10) Lacked stamina in the second half and was below par. 16/3 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 5-4-7) Responded only modestly to vigorous riding. 27/2 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 2-6-8) Weakened in the second half and remained uninspiring. 26/1 (Conghua turf trial 800m: 5-4-9) Dropped off sharply in the final 200m due to lack of concentration. Making a long-awaited return in his first run of the season, he was highly disappointing over Sha Tin turf 1200m in October; he missed the jump, settled back, and weakened late to finish well beaten. After five barrier trials, he still hasn't reached peak fitness. In his latest straight trial, he carries a 4lb penalty this time; given the similar timings in the group, an unfavorable draw, and a tendency to weaken late if settling back, combined with a lack of strong synergy between trainer and jockey, he is not expected to perform well.
