Three weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over the same distance. After a slow start, he settled towards the rear and maintained a steady pace throughout, making up some ground late but ultimately finishing well beaten. His performance was unremarkable and he faced a disadvantageous running style; coming from the back this time, his finishing kick may not be sufficient to challenge the leaders. Furthermore, the relationship between trainer and jockey does not appear particularly strong heading into this race.
