Started slowly in the 1000m Sha Tin turf barrier trial on August 6th (running positions: 6-6-1), but accelerated in the final third to win easily. On May 18th, in another Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1000m (running positions: 5-4-1), he challenged from 200m out and showed increasing strength. In the August 27th Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 800m (running positions: 7-8-6), he appeared restless in the enclosure, tracking steadily. As a debutant to Hong Kong, he began training at the end of last month after arriving in Hong Kong. After three barrier trials, there has been slight improvement. He shows a low-to-the-ground stride with quick footfalls, good short-distance form, and a willingness to chase; he possesses finishing kick. Entering this race for the first time, his draw is decent. As long as he jumps cleanly and keeps up with the pack, he should have the ability to challenge his rivals in the latter stages.
