GO BALLISTIC and GORGEOUS INHERITOR bumped at the start. KA FORTUNE was crowded for room on jumping between WINNING GENGHIS which shifted out and AEROSONIC which began awkwardly and shifted in. KA YING BRILLIANCE began only fairly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when having to be shifted out away from the heels of CALIFORNIA LEGEND which shifted out. This resulted in KA YING BRILLIANCE racing back in the field in the early stages. RUBY STARS began awkwardly. From wide barriers, KEEP WINNING, FIGURES TWO and GENERAL DINO were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the early stages, VEGA RHYTHM travelled wide and without cover and after the 1200 Metres was ridden along to obtain a more forward position closer to the rail. Passing the 1200 Metres, WINNING GENGHIS was crowded for room between AEROSONIC and GORGEOUS INHERITOR which raced tight outside GO BALLISTIC which improved to be racing outside the heels of RUN DES RUN which shifted out. Passing the 1100 Metres, GO BALLISTIC was awkwardly placed outside the heels of RUN DES RUN which shifted out. After the 1100 Metres, WINNING GENGHIS was momentarily crowded for room between GORGEOUS INHERITOR which shifted out and AEROSONIC which lay in away from VEGA RHYTHM. Approaching the turn near the 700 Metres, KA FORTUNE and GO BALLISTIC raced tight. WINNING GENGHIS travelled wide and without cover until near the 700 Metres. CALIFORNIA LEGEND had some difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 400 Metres and then near the 300 Metres became unbalanced when improving into tight running between KA FORTUNE and RUN DES RUN which shifted out. After the 150 Metres, CALIFORNIA LEGEND raced tight inside KA FORTUNE which shifted in under pressure, resulting in RUN DES RUN, which was racing to the inside of CALIFORNIA LEGEND, racing tight with KA YING BRILLIANCE. When KA FORTUNE was corrected and shifted out away from CALIFORNIA LEGEND, GENERAL DINO and FIGURES TWO were inconvenienced. KA YING BRILLIANCE was then inconvenienced when eased away from the heels of CALIFORNIA LEGEND near the 100 Metres. Throughout the race, AEROSONIC and GORGEOUS INHERITOR travelled wide and without cover. The performances of GORGEOUS INHERITOR, AEROSONIC and VEGA RHYTHM, all of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GORGEOUS INHERITOR, AEROSONIC and VEGA RHYTHM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of RUN DES RUN, GORGEOUS INHERITOR, AEROSONIC, KA YING BRILLIANCE and VEGA RHYTHM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KA YING BRILLIANCE, LUCKY VICTOR and RUBY STARS were sent for sampling.

At declaration time, T Piccone was declared as the rider of both TREASURE OF FIELD and WAH MAY LUCK. It was established that T Piccone had a firm commitment to ride WAH MAY LUCK. As such, the Stewards permitted C Schofield to be substituted as the rider of TREASURE OF FIELD. For this declaration error, Trainer K H Ting was fined $2,000. PEAK TO PEAK and TREASURE OF FIELD bumped at the start. HERCULES began awkwardly and then was crowded for room on jumping between BLAZE WARRIOR and ILLUSTRIOUS which shifted in abruptly. ILLUSTRIOUS then continued to shift in and bumped BLAZE WARRIOR which became unbalanced. After this, HERCULES was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. From the outside barriers, GOLD GOLD BABY and BOYS PARTY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. When being steadied to obtain cover, GOLD GOLD BABY was hampered shortly after the start when bumped by ZELUS which shifted out. A short distance after the start, TRONIC MIGHTY was bumped by SMART WONGCHOY which shifted in. In the early stages, NIMBLE NIMBUS got its head up when travelling keenly. Passing the 1000 Metres, BLAZE WARRIOR momentarily raced tight outside NIMBLE NIMBUS which shifted out when racing greenly. Throughout the race, WAH MAY LUCK travelled wide and without cover and making the turn after the 900 Metres got its head on the side and lay out. Approaching the 700 Metres, PAKISTAN ZINDABAD raced tight inside NIMBLE NIMBUS which shifted in. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD and NIMBLE NIMBUS then bumped again near the 650 Metres. In the early part of the Straight, NIMBLE NIMBUS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TRONIC MIGHTY and then near the 350 Metres was directed out a number of horses to obtain clear running. Passing the 75 Metres, HERCULES was shifted out away from the heels of PEAK TO PEAK to continue improving. For the majority of the race, ZELUS travelled wide and without cover. The performance of ILLUSTRIOUS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ILLUSTRIOUS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of BOYS PARTY and ILLUSTRIOUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BLAZE WARRIOR and SMART WONGCHOY were sent for sampling.

SPEEDY DRAGON began only fairly and then lost further ground when bumped by WINNING STRIKES which was taken out by HAPPY HOUR. From the outside barrier, DASHING GRACE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1200 Metres, WINNING STRIKES was checked when crowded for room inside THE FULL BLOOM which, after getting its head on the side and shifting in away from SEIZE THE SPIRIT (J Moreira), was then taken in marginally by that horse before being corrected. J Moreira was advised that the Stewards were satisfied that THE FULL BLOOM shifting in and away from SEIZE THE SPIRIT had played a significant role in this incident, however, he was reprimanded and told that he should have corrected his mount sooner than he did on this occasion to prevent THE FULL BLOOM racing tight inside SEIZE THE SPIRIT as that horse shifted in across the running of WINNING STRIKES. Near the 950 Metres, KWAI CHUNG ELITE and WINNING STRIKES bumped. Then near the 900 Metres, KWAI CHUNG ELITE raced tight inside WINNING STRIKES which got its head up and shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of THE FULL BLOOM. Passing the 400 Metres, NOBLE MAN raced tight outside BLAZING PARTNERS which shifted out from behind KELMIMI WINS to obtain clear running. BLAZING PARTNERS then shifted out and brushed NOBLE MAN passing the 300 Metres and again shifted out under pressure after the 200 Metres. Throughout the race, THE FULL BLOOM and SEIZE THE SPIRIT travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE MAN and WINNING STRIKES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SPEEDY DRAGON immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FOX CHEUNGER and BLAZING PARTNERS were sent for sampling.

Prior to the start being effected, EL VALIENTE put its head down. As the start was effected, EL VALIENTE began awkwardly, resulting in its rider M L Yeung’s left foot slipping out of the iron which he was able to regather a short distance after the start. When EL VALIENTE began awkwardly, it shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of LUCKY DIAMOND. LONDON LUCKYSTAR shifted out at the start and inconvenienced SMART FOLKS. DRAGON COMMANDER shifted out at the start and bumped V CHEVALIERS. Then from wide barriers, DRAGON COMMANDER and V CHEVALIERS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the outside barrier, PIANO SOLO was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages. STRIVE FOR GLORY began only fairly and then approaching the winning post on the first occasion was inconvenienced when racing tight between TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and LADY FIRST. Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, LONDON LUCKYSTAR momentarily raced in restricted room between SMART FOLKS and INCREDIBLE which was awkwardly placed outside the heels of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED. Approaching the 1200 Metres, PIANO SOLO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of STRIVE FOR GLORY. After the 1100 Metres, INCREDIBLE was left racing wide and without cover. LONDON LUCKYSTAR travelled wide and without cover after the 1000 Metres. Near the 550 Metres, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED, which was giving ground, was momentarily steadied when crowded for room between LONDON LUCKYSTAR and LUCKY DIAMOND which shifted out when bumped by OH BRAVO which improved into tight running inside LUCKY DIAMOND. Near the 150 Metres, DRAGON COMMANDER was shifted out away from the heels of EL VALIENTE which shifted out under pressure. The performances of STRIVE FOR GLORY, V CHEVALIERS, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and INCREDIBLE, all of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, STRIVE FOR GLORY, V CHEVALIERS, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and INCREDIBLE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SMART FOLKS immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a minor laceration to the left hind leg. SUPER FAST and EL VALIENTE were sent for sampling.

ARROGANT shifted out at the start and bumped AI ONE which resulted in AI ONE being taken out onto the hindquarters of TASHIDELEK which became unbalanced. GOD OF DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly on jumping, resulting in ENZEMBLE being crowded for room inside SMILING TIME. After this, ENZEMBLE was ridden along for a considerable distance to obtain a forward position. After the race, M F Poon reported that ENZEMBLE’s failure to finish off the race was as a result of him having to make too much use of the horse for a considerable distance in the early stages to obtain a forward position. A veterinary inspection of ENZEMBLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Shortly after the start, LONDON HALL and VINCY bumped as VINCY raced tight inside the heels of ENTRUSTED. This resulted in both LONDON HALL and VINCY becoming unbalanced and VINCY shifting out, resulting in ENTRUSTED being inconvenienced. ENTRUSTED was then shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LONDON HALL was awkwardly placed outside the heels of MURRAY’S PARTNERS when being steadied to obtain cover. Passing the 1600 Metres, ENZEMBLE was shifted out away from the heels of BLASTOISE which also shifted out after being awkwardly placed outside the heels of SMILING TIME. After the 1200 Metres, SUPERBELLA was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 1150 Metres, TASHIDELEK shifted in and brushed the running rail. Approaching the 700 Metres, LONDON HALL was steadied when crowded for room between VINCY and ABOVE (A Hamelin) which shifted out away from the heels of AI ONE as that horse also shifted out. A Hamelin was advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground and causing interference to other runners. Passing the 600 Metres, GOD OF DRAGON, which was reluctant to maintain its position and racing awkwardly, got its head up and became unbalanced when momentarily racing in restricted room inside ENTRUSTED which shifted in marginally before being directed out. Passing the 500 Metres, ABOVE raced tight between VINCY and AI ONE which shifted out away from the heels of SMILING TIME as that horse commenced to give ground. This resulted in AI ONE being awkwardly placed behind SMILING TIME rounding the Home Turn. Then passing the 400 Metres, AI ONE was steadied and shifted to the outside of ABOVE to obtain clear running as a result of SMILING TIME shifting out and continuing to give ground. A veterinary inspection of SMILING TIME immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. The performance of SMILING TIME, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SMILING TIME will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. For some distance rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, NATURAL STORM was taken back through the field when very awkwardly placed close to the heels of ARROGANT as that horse gave ground abruptly. After this, ARROGANT continued to give ground and was eased down passing the 400 Metres. A veterinary inspection of ARROGANT immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, ARROGANT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of NATURAL STORM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ARROGANT, SUPERBELLA and ENTRUSTED were sent for sampling.

SUPERB DADDY was checked on jumping when crowded for room between WINWIN THIRTYTHREE and PURE LEGEND which shifted in abruptly. In this incident, PURE LEGEND continued to shift in despite the efforts of its rider and bumped WINWIN THIRTYTHREE which was then bumped on the hindquarters by BRILLIANT CHINA which shifted out after beginning only fairly. From the outside barriers, GO GO SIXTEEN and CASA KINGDOM were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1300 Metres, SUPERB DADDY raced tight inside DRAGON FORTUNE which shifted in. Passing the 1200 Metres, CORDYCEPS KING got its head up and travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover behind ALL BEST FRIENDS. Near the 850 Metres, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE was steadied away from the heels of ALL BEST FRIENDS which shifted in marginally. BRILLIANT CHINA had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and approaching the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of WINWIN THIRTYTHREE to obtain clear running after being disappointed for running between that horse and ALL BEST FRIENDS (H W Lai) which shifted out when commencing to give ground. H W Lai was told that whilst the Stewards accepted that ALL BEST FRIENDS had come under pressure and was not responding to his riding, nonetheless he has an obligation to continue to test his mounts at least hands and heels over the concluding stages where appropriate circumstances exist. GO GO SIXTEEN had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Approaching the 300 Metres, CORDYCEPS KING was bumped by TOP SCORE which shifted out away from DRAGON FORTUNE. Throughout the race, TOP SCORE travelled wide and without cover. When questioned regarding the performance of LIGHT OF WANSHI, C Y Ho stated that, in his opinion, the horse was not suited by the moderate tempo of the race. He said LIGHT OF WANSHI had always relaxed in its races when ridden by him, however, today the horse was inclined to race keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EASY FORTUNE approaching and passing the 800 Metres. He said after shifting LIGHT OF WANSHI to the outside of runners rounding the Home Turn, the horse did not quicken on today’s track surface as well as it did last start when it appeared to appreciate the "Good to Firm” surface. He added whilst LIGHT OF WANSHI was somewhat disappointing in today’s race, he did believe that there were circumstances which accounted for the horse’s failure to close off the race as strongly as it did last start. A veterinary inspection of LIGHT OF WANSHI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of CORDYCEPS KING and TOP SCORE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. VICTORY SCHOLARS and BRILLIANT CHINA were sent for sampling.

RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE began only fairly. PAKISTAN FRIEND shifted out at the start and bumped GOLD COMET. After this, despite being ridden along, PAKISTAN FRIEND failed to muster speed. SPLENDID LIVING shifted out at the start and inconvenienced SKYEY SUPREME. From wide barriers, TANGMERE, SO WE JOY and GREAT TREASURE were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After travelling a short distance, STAR PERFORMANCE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of ELON. After being shifted across behind runners in the early stages, CLEAR CHOICE was left racing wide and without cover after the 1200 Metres. The performance of CLEAR CHOICE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CLEAR CHOICE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned regarding the performance of GOLD COMET, J Moreira stated that, in his opinion, the horse was not comfortable on today’s "Wet Slow” racing surface. He said after being steadied with a view to obtaining cover behind the speed passing the winning post on the first occasion, GOLD COMET was then left racing wide and without cover after the 1400 Metres. He said GOLD COMET did not travel as well as it did last start when it closed off the race strongly. He added GOLD COMET came under pressure after the 600 Metres and he had to ride his mount along vigorously rounding the Home Turn in an attempt to improve its position. He said GOLD COMET did not quicken for him and over the latter stages finished off the race only one-paced. A veterinary inspection of GOLD COMET immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, Apprentice C L Chau stated that after not showing as much early speed as anticipated, STAR OF YUEN LONG was always off the bridle and did not travel strongly at any stage of the race. A veterinary inspection of STAR OF YUEN LONG immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. M Chadwick stated that after being out-paced in the early stages despite being ridden along, UNITE SPIRIT was disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. GOLD COMET, TRUE LEGEND and SO WE JOY were sent for sampling.

FANTASTIC SHOW was slow to begin. WIN WIN began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between LEAP OF FAITH and INVINCIBLE MISSILE which was taken out by PLEASANT ENDEAVOR. After this, WIN WIN was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. LINCOLN BRIGHT began awkwardly. From a wide barrier, CASIMIRO was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 1200 Metres, HORSESAIN BOLT shifted in and bumped XIANG YIN. For some distance in the middle stages, XIANG YIN travelled keenly and was awkwardly placed behind CHEERFUL DAYS. Near the 550 Metres, PLEASANT ENDEAVOR raced tight outside CHEERFUL DAYS which improved into tight running between PLEASANT ENDEAVOR and BELUGA. PLEASANT ENDEAVOR and CHEERFUL DAYS then bumped near the 450 Metres. Passing the 400 Metres, XIANG YIN raced in restricted room between LEAP OF FAITH which initially shifted out and CHEERFUL DAYS which got its head on the side and lay in under pressure. WIN WIN had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. CASIMIRO had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching and passing the 300 Metres and passing the 200 Metres was steadied when attempting to improve between XIANG YIN and CHEERFUL DAYS where there was insufficient room. XIANG YIN then raced tight inside CASIMIRO as that horse continued to improve inside CHEERFUL DAYS. Passing the 200 Metres, PLEASANT ENDEAVOR momentarily raced in restricted room between CHEERFUL DAYS and HORSESAIN BOLT. BELUGA lost its left front plate after the race. The performance of LINCOLN BRIGHT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LINCOLN BRIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, K C Leung stated that, in his opinion, the circumstances of today’s race did not suit PLEASANT ENDEAVOR. He said stepping up to 1400 Metres for the first time today, PLEASANT ENDEAVOR was left racing wide and without cover after the 1000 Metres. He said PLEASANT ENDEAVOR then became unbalanced rounding the Home Turn when runners to its inside commenced to make their runs. He added because of these factors PLEASANT ENDEAVOR was not able to quicken in the early part of the Straight and then did not finish off the race as strongly as anticipated. A veterinary inspection of PLEASANT ENDEAVOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, T Piccone stated that KASI FARASI was not able to obtain as good a run as it did at its last start due to having drawn wide today. He said in the circumstances he believed that KASI FARASI finished off the race satisfactorily. A veterinary inspection of KASI FARASI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BELUGA and LEAP OF FAITH were sent for sampling.

STORM WARNINGS shifted in at the start and bumped FEARLESS FIRE. ROCK YA HEART began awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. From a wide barrier, ROYAL BOMB was also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. After travelling a short distance, DROPS OF GOD was badly crowded for room between WAR OF COURAGE and IMA SINGLE MAN which became unbalanced and stepped in before being corrected. The crowding to DROPS OF GOD was then extenuated by WAR OF COURAGE being turned out across DROPS OF GOD as a result of being bumped on the hindquarters. Whilst the crowding to DROPS OF GOD was significant and resulted in the horse stumbling, the Stewards were of the opinion that there was no rider carelessness associated with this incident, therefore no further action was taken. After the 900 Metres, TRUST ME was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 800 Metres, FEARLESS FIRE was shifted in away from the heels of COPARTNER AMBITION after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. Passing the 400 Metres, ROYAL BOMB got its head on the side and lay in across the heels of COPARTNER AMBITION, resulting in ROYAL BOMB becoming unbalanced and losing ground. Passing the 200 Metres, FANTASY shifted out and bumped COPARTNER AMBITION. ROCK YA HEART, which was following COPARTNER AMBITION, was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse. Over the concluding stages, FANTASY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of COPARTNER AMBITION. Throughout the race, FANTASY travelled wide and without cover. After the race, M F Poon (MIGHTY VALOR) stated that after being ridden along to obtain a forward position in the early stages, his mount came under pressure shortly after entering the Straight and then after giving him a limited response gave ground abruptly after the 300 Metres. He said MIGHTY VALOR’s action deteriorated in the latter stages and given the manner in which it was weakening out of the race, he eased it down over the final 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY VALOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, MIGHTY VALOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of ROYAL BOMB immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, ROYAL BOMB will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of STORM WARNINGS and WAR OF COURAGE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DROPS OF GOD, IMA SINGLE MAN and WHEN YOU BELIEVE were sent for sampling.

NABOO ATTACK was withdrawn on 25.6.21 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, NABOO ATTACK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TRILLION WIN (A Badel) and MASSIVE POCKET bumped heavily at the start. TRILLION WIN then shifted out, resulting in WIND N GRASS being momentarily crowded for room inside HIGHLY PROACTIVE. A Badel stated that after making contact with MASSIVE POCKET, TRILLION WIN became unbalanced and then did not travel as well as he anticipated. He said whilst TRILLION WIN finished off the race satisfactorily, the horse did not feel completely comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of TRILLION WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ROMAN TURBO (C Y Ho) began awkwardly, shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of HONG KONG WIN. After this, ROMAN TURBO was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. After the race, C Y Ho stated that ROMAN TURBO did not travel strongly at any stage of the race and failed to finish off the race after being placed under pressure in the Straight. He said when under pressure, ROMAN TURBO did not feel comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of ROMAN TURBO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, ROMAN TURBO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. From wide barriers, CONGRATULATION and MR CROISSANT were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. Passing the 400 Metres, WIND N GRASS was shifted out away from the heels of MASSIVE POCKET to continue improving. Passing the 300 Metres, MASSIVE POCKET was disappointed for running between FLYING GENIUS and VICTORIAM which improved to be racing inside the heels of HIGHLY PROACTIVE after being awkwardly placed inside the heels of that horse approaching the 300 Metres. Throughout the race, HONG KONG WIN travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MASSIVE POCKET had bled from both nostrils A veterinary inspection of CONGRATULATION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TRILLION WIN, HIGHLY PROACTIVE and SHINING ACE were sent for sampling.
