KING INVINCIBLE (H199): After the race, K C Leung reported that his mount raced keenly in the middle stages and after being steadied away from the heels of COLONEL near the 650 Metres was shifted to a three wide position. He added that in the Home Straight KING INVINCIBLE failed to respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. MR GOOD VIBES (H180): Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race. TACTICAL COMMAND (H197): A Badel was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. Sent for sampling post-race. COMMANDING MISSILE (G210): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. HAPPY TANGO (D075): Near the 300 Metres was bumped. Over the concluding stages was crowded between COLONEL and TACTICAL COMMAND which shifted out. JAZZ CLUB (G285): For some distance approaching the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. MULTIMORE (D443): No report. THE GOOD DEAL (G025): Approaching the 250 Metres became held up for clear running behind MULTIMORE which was giving ground and did not obtain clear running until the 150 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GREAT DAYS (H119): Near the 300 Metres was bumped. After the race, A Hamelin reported that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT DAYS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533): Jumped only fairly and then was briefly crowded shortly after the start. GOOD VIEW GLORY (H154): On arrival at the Start, Z Purton expressed concern with the horse’s action. GOOD VIEW GLORY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was lame in its left front leg and as such was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, GOOD VIEW GLORY was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, GOOD VIEW GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. RATTAN WORLD (G384): Withdrawn on 18.5.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter MULTIMORE. Before being allowed to race again, RATTAN WORLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

SAKEWIN (G275): After the race, M F Poon could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of SAKEWIN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SAKEWIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. THE GREAT MASTER (H457): No report. MIGHTY STRENGTH (H450): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 900 Metres after improving to the inside of HAPPY FOR ALL (K C Leung) was then steadied when crowded by that runner. K C Leung was advised to exercise more care. SUPER INFINITY (J320): Jumped only fairly. After the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly after being crossed by HAPPY FOR ALL and was steadied away from the heels of that runner. After the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of HAPPY FOR ALL to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. TAIHANG SCENERY (J314): After the race, C L Chau reported that in the early stages his mount, after jumping well, raced keenly and as a result he was obliged to allow TAIHANG SCENERY to hold a more forward position. He added that as a result TAIHANG SCENERY was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. THE WINNABE (J251): Sent for sampling post-race. THUNDERBOLTAURUS B (J281): Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier. YODA'S CHOICE (J146): Jumped only fairly. Lay out on the Home Turn. HAPPY FOR ALL (H181): After the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind TAIHANG SCENERY and shifted to that runner’s inside after the 350 Metres to obtain clear running. M L Yeung (SKY SONG) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 200 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of HAPPY FOR ALL, resulting in HAPPY FOR ALL being checked and losing its running. M L Yeung was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 26 May 2024 and to expire on Thursday, 30 May 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 1 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his poor race riding record. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. SKY SONG (J159): After the race, M L Yeung reported that his mount jumped well today and as a consequence settled in a more forward position. M L Yeung was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 200 Metres (see HAPPY FOR ALL). CRYSTAL POWERFUL (H068): No report. CAMP FIRE (J259): Was a late withdrawal acting on veterinary advice after sustaining a head injury in the stables and being found to have blood present at the left nostril. An endoscopic examination conducted on CAMP FIRE found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the horse was deemed not to have bled. Before being allowed to race again, CAMP FIRE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

HEALTHY HAPPY (D435): After the race, A Badel advised that whilst he expected to hold a forward position, he was not instructed to necessarily lead. He said due to the pace of the event in the early stages being run at standard time, he elected to take a trailing position behind the leaders where his mount settled comfortably. TAJ DRAGON (H164): Sent for sampling post-race. PACKING TREADMILL (G161): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PACKING TREADMILL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ATULLIBIGEAL (G173): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race. WONDER KIT (G455): No report. SUPREME LUCKY (G457): Jumped only fairly. Over the concluding stages raced tight between TAJ DRAGON and ATULLIBIGEAL.

LUCY IN THE SKY (J275): Sent for sampling post-race. YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413): Crowded at the start. Near the 950 Metres was crowded by DRAGON FOUR SEAS which was taken in by SPEEDY FORTUNE (A Badel) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Badel was reprimanded. After the race, H Bowman reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being crowded near the 950 Metres and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. He added that, in his opinion, YOU’REMYEVERYTHING would benefit from being stepped up in distance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317): Jumped awkwardly. Near the 950 Metres was steadied. FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232): Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping. After the 1100 Metres commenced to race greenly after being crossed by GLORY ELITE. After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount raced greenly throughout the event. HAROLD WIN (J280): Crowded at the start. MR ENERGIA (J239): Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 450 Metres was steadied away from SOLID WIN when that runner shifted out to improve. SOLID WIN (J225): Jumped only fairly. GLORY ELITE (H311): Sent for sampling post-race. GREAT SPIRIT (J155): Lay out on the first turn when being steadied away from FUN N FUN TOGETHER. Continued to lay out in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CERVIN (H253): Slow to begin. SUPER BONUS (H259): Near the 50 Metres B Thompson dropped his right rein. SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097): No report.

ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168): Jumped only fairly. Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. After the race, Y L Chung could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING MOJITO (G412): No report. JOY OF SPRING (H383): JOY OF SPRING, which was in the adjacent barrier to YOUNG BRILLIANT, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Sent for sampling post-race. WINNING STEPS (G420): Jumped awkwardly. CALL ME SUPREME (J202): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. PING HAI COMET (H344): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SATIRICAL GLORY (H073): Sent for sampling post-race. CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471): No report. ME TIME (J074): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running between CALL ME SUPREME and PING HAI COMET which was giving ground. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when positioned tight between KINGLY DEMEANOR and LITTLE FAIRY which shifted out slightly. SPECIAL HEDGE (H354): No report. PAKISTAN FRIEND (B370): PAKISTAN FRIEND, which was in the adjacent barrier to YOUNG BRILLIANT, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. LITTLE FAIRY (H206): No report. KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486): After the race, M L Yeung reported that he was instructed to hold a more forward position with his mount being stepped up in distance today. YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135): After being placed in the starting stalls reared and became cast underneath the stalls for some time. Acting on veterinary advice that YOUNG BRILLIANT was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Was subsequently found to be lame in its left hind leg with multiple lacerations to its legs. Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG BRILLIANT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Subsequently Apprentice E C W Wong was examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining race riding engagements.

THE ABSOLUTE (H438): Raced wide and without cover from the 900 Metres. After the race, L Ferraris stated that his mount jumped only fairly and then despite riding it along in the early stages THE ABSOLUTE did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. RUN RUN COOL (E322): Near the 900 Metres was steadied away from THE ABSOLUTE. After the race, H Bentley stated that when he had concerns with his mount’s action in the Home Straight, he eased it down when not in a competitive position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, RUN RUN COOL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ARIEL (G223): Sent for sampling post-race. VOLCANIC SPARK (H388): Near the 400 Metres bumped with STARMEN. WAR OF COURAGE (C483): No report. MEEPMEEP (H234): For some distance near the 1000 Metres when being crossed by ARIEL refused to settle and as a result was checked to avoid that horse. Briefly held up near the 400 Metres. AMAZING AWARD (J236): Near the 900 Metres was steadied away from HOSS. STARMEN (J199): Bumped near the 400 Metres. GRAND CONQUEROR (H469): Jumped only fairly. SKY TRUST (J161): Sent for sampling post-race. GREAT ACHIEVER (J049): In the early stages got its head up and raced ungenerously when being crossed by WAR OF COURAGE. VULCANUS (J150): Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by WAR OF COURAGE which shifted in. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. HOSS (H055): Near the 900 Metres when over-racing was checked to avoid SKY TRUST and shifted out as a consequence. HIGH RISE POWER (H353): After the race, L Hewitson reported that he was instructed to ride his mount in a positive manner in the early stages. He said after riding his mount along to comply with his instructions, HIGH RISE POWER raced keenly in the early stages and ultimately led the event.

STUNNING PEACH (J301): Sent for sampling post-race. FIND MY LOVE (H110): After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that the intention was to find cover, but after commencing well and being caught wide in the early stages, he was obliged to allow his mount to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground. CHING (G380): No report. SIMPLE HEDGE (H237): Jumped only fairly. Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced and lost ground when crowded by PERFECT PAIRING which hung in and away from CHING despite the efforts of its rider A Hamelin. After the race, B Avdulla reported that his mount was under pressure throughout the event and although crowded for room near the 900 Metres failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ELLIPTICAL (J052): No report. SILVER SONIC (H171): No report. FUN TOGETHER (H041): From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. VOYAGE SAMURAI (J026): Sent for sampling post-race. ROCKET SPADE (G170): No report. HELENE WARRIOR (J207): Jumped only fairly and then was steadied to avoid FUN TOGETHER which shifted out. Near the 300 Metres was shifted out to obtain clear running and bumped POWERFUL WINGS. ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467): Stumbled on jumping. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. PERFECT PAIRING (J331): Jumped only fairly. POWERFUL WINGS (G225): Bumped after the 300 Metres. AEROINVINCIBLE (J180): Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. For a short distance near the 150 Metres A Atzeni’s whip was caught in his reins when he pulled it through to his right hand. MASTER OF FORTUNE (G474): Withdrawn on 17.5.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ROCKET SPADE. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER OF FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

SUNNY DA BEST (J118): After the race, K De Melo reported that his mount raced too keenly in the lead, particularly when VANTASTIC CHOICE improved to its outside approaching the 1000 Metres and as a consequence was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. FOOLISH HEART (J054): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, K C Leung reported that his mount made an abnormal breathing noise during the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. D STAR (G374): At declaration time, Y L Chung was declared as the rider of both D STAR and SUPER LEGENDS. It was established that Y L Chung had a firm commitment to ride D STAR. As such, the Stewards permitted H Bowman to be substituted as the rider of SUPER LEGENDS. For this declaration error, Y L Chung was fined $2,000. CELTIC TIMES (G230): Jumped only fairly. After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount would prefer a firmer surface. Trainer W K Mo agreed with the assessment of Jockey Teetan. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER LEGENDS (H364): No report. WINNING TURN (J163): Lay out making the Home Turn and near the 500 Metres was steadied away from STRATHPEFFER. LUCKY TOUCH (J203): When questioned, Z Purton stated that his intention was to hold a more forward position, but LUCKY TOUCH was slightly fractious in the barriers and then was slow to begin and as a result settled towards the rear of the field. He said making the Home Turn he commenced to improve into the event and after shifting to the inside of CELTIC TIMES near the 400 Metres he placed his mount under pressure. He added that approaching the 300 Metres he was disappointed for clear running between ISLAND GOLDEN and GOLDEN DARCI which shifted in and as a result directed his mount to that runner’s outside. He further stated that between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres he was unable to obtain clear running when improving into a narrow run between GOLDEN DARCI and FOOLISH HEART which was giving ground. He said approaching the 50 Metres he then directed his mount to the outside of MISSION VOICE to continue into clear running. SUPER UNICORN (H481): No report. VANTASTIC CHOICE (G401): No report. GOLDEN DARCI (H470): When giving ground and racing tight to the inside of LUCKY TOUCH shifted in and made contact with ISLAND GOLDEN near the 150 Metres. MISSION VOICE (H444): Near the 900 Metres when racing keenly was steadied away from VANTASTIC CHOICE. Sent for sampling post-race. YOUNG HORIZON (G272): On jumping was bumped by SUPER LEGENDS which shifted in. Despite being ridden along thereafter failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. IMA SINGLE MAN (D476): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. MOJAVE DESERT (J330): Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LADY'S CHOICE (H155): Sent for sampling post-race. FULL CREDIT (J185): Sent for sampling post-race. SUPER JOY N FUN (J164): Leaving the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from LADY’S CHOICE. MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433): Crowded near the 1150 Metres. WINNING DAY (J270): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. WRITTEN CASA (J305): Crowded at the start. Near the 1150 Metres was steadied when crowded between CONTI CONTI and MAGNIFICENT NINE which was taken in by SUPER JOY N FUN when that runner shifted in and away from FULL CREDIT despite the efforts of its rider C L Chau. CHAMPION INSTINCT (H012): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY EIGHT (G204): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. CAPTAIN WIN (E466): For a short distance approaching the 300 Metres raced tight between IMA SINGLE MAN and CHAMPION INSTINCT which shifted out. CONTI CONTI (J166): Jumped awkwardly.

CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Bumped near the 100 Metres. KEMPES (J265): Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by CHIU CHOW SPIRIT which shifted out. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291): After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount would appreciate being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. PATCH OF THETA (H485): Sent for sampling post-race. EIGHTEEN PALMS (H033): Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped BEAUTY THUNDER. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. HYPER DRAGON BALL (G450): After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount was slow to begin and in the early stages did not fully stretch out despite him riding it along. SKY HEART (J092): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. LOYAL BO BO (J011): After the race, K C Leung reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by SKY HEART and with the race being run inside of standard time in the early stages was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of LOYAL BO BO was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, LOYAL BO BO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AMAZING DUCK (H392): No report. BEAUTY GLORY (E459): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BEAUTY THUNDER (J299): Bumped at the start. STELLAR SWIFT (J139): After the race, A Atzeni reported that his mount commenced only fairly and failed to show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position. SUNLIGHT POWER (H244): Became unbalanced on jumping when bumped by SKY HEART which shifted out. Held up for clear running from the 400 Metres when it hung in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of PATCH OF THETA and as a result did not obtain clear running until near the 100 Metres. When improving into a narrow run between CHIU CHOW SPIRIT and PATCH OF THETA near the 100 Metres shifted out and made contact with CHIU CHOW SPIRIT.
