26/03/2025 Shatin All Weather Track 1800m Going: GOOD (8.9) Rating: 040-015
CHATER GOLD (J004): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CHATER GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
MEEPMEEP (H234): Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 400 Metres made contact with JOYFUL CHAMPION when it was shifted to the outside of HARRY’S HERO to obtain clear running. Was then held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres.
SUPER TREASURE (J211): No report.
YODA'S CHOICE (J146): Sent for sampling post-race.
SMART BEAUTY (G477): In the middle stages raced keenly. For some distance near the 1200 Metres was steadied away from HARRY’S HERO. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight and leaving the 250 Metres raced in restricted room to the inside of CHATER GOLD.
SMART ZIPANG (J165): Near the 1600 Metres became unbalanced when momentarily racing tight to the inside of MEEPMEEP.
COLOURFUL BARON (G301): After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the race and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of COLOURFUL BARON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, COLOURFUL BARON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

ON THE LASH (J182): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out when positioned behind SUPER TREASURE which was giving ground.
HARRY'S HERO (H332): Raced wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres.
YEABOI (G372): Shortly after the start was crowded by SMART BEAUTY which shifted out. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
TURTLE AGAIN (H083): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072): Bumped after the 400 Metres. After the event, M L Yeung confirmed that from the outside barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position to offset the wide draw. Trainer C W Chang confirmed the instructions issued.
YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413): YOU’REMYEVERYTHING, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 25.3.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, YOU’REMYEVERYTHING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

26/03/2025 Shatin All Weather Track 1200m Going: GOOD (8.9) Rating: 040-018
GLORIOUS EXPERT (J028): Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between MODEST GENTLEMAN and PATCH OF WATCH which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
ROMANTIC NOVELIST (J167): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352): Bumped on jumping and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GLORIOUS EXPERT and WIND SPEEDER which shifted in. Approaching the 950 Metres improved quickly behind FALCON COURT. When being shifted to the inside of FALCON COURT to improve, MODEST GENTLEMAN was steadied when FALCON COURT shifted to the inside of YEAH BUDDY. M Chadwick, rider of MODEST GENTLEMAN, was advised to exercise more care to ensure that there is comfortable racing room where he is improving into. Approaching the winning post shifted out, resulting in its rider M Chadwick having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
THE PRIME (J352): No report.
YEAH BUDDY (J430): For some distance after the 800 Metres raced keenly and was steadied away from PATCH OF WATCH. Sent for sampling post-race.
THE KHAN (H489): Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 800 Metres, when racing keenly, improved into a tight run between THE PRIME and FLYING PHANTOM. A short distance later THE KHAN was steadied when crowded by FLYING PHANTOM which raced tight to the inside of WIND SPEEDER. Briefly held up on the Home Turn.
FALCON COURT (J056): Jumped only fairly. Approaching the winning post was hampered when taken wider by MODEST GENTLEMAN.
FLYING PHANTOM (J086): No report.
PATCH OF WATCH (H476): Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. In the middle stages raced keenly when positioned outside the lead. Sent for sampling post-race.
SUPER JOY (G251): After the event, B Thompson advised that his mount hung out throughout the event.
COOL BLUE (H011): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, H Bentley reported that his mount travelled only fairly during the race and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

THESIS (H111): Bumped shortly after the start.
SHANGHAI STYLE (J093): After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that her mount did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to its inside despite her efforts to hold a more forward position. She said due to the effort the horse was obliged to make in the early stages SHANGHAI STYLE was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
VON BAER (K198): Hung out under pressure in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride.

THE WAY WE WIN (J493): Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the right side of its barrier.
LUCKY BANNER (G354): Near the 1600 Metres was steadied when crowded between SPANGLE FORTUNE and SHANGHAI STYLE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider Apprentice P N Wong. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

26/03/2025 Shatin All Weather Track 1200m Going: GOOD (8.9) Rating: 039-019
HAPPY TANGO (D075): Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race.
HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384): Sent for sampling post-race.
ORIENTAL TYCOON (J112): On jumping was steadied when crowded between SKY PROPHET and CHEER FOR SOUTH which shifted out.
SKY PROPHET (J095): Bumped at the start.
SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097): Had its left hind plate adjusted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. She said despite riding her mount along in the early stages it did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position and as a result was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event when unable to cross runners to her inside. She added that as a result of the horse racing wide and without cover it was unable to finish the race off under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FLYING ROMANTIC (J057): Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping.
SONIC BOOM (H144): Jumped awkwardly. Near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid CHEER FOR SOUTH which was taken out slightly by DAY DAY VICTORY. After the event, M Chadwick could offer no explanation for his horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DAY DAY VICTORY (J423): Jumped awkwardly. Rounding the Home Turn was crowded between HAPPY TANGO and FLYING DRAGON which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. In this incident DAY DAY VICTORY then shifted out and away from FLYING DRAGON and was steadied to avoid HAPPY TANGO. A short distance later DAY DAY VICTORY was steadied to avoid FLYING DRAGON (A Hamelin) which shifted out when not clear. A Hamelin was reprimanded.

26/03/2025 ST Shatin All Weather Track 1200m Going: GOOD (8.9) Rating: 060-040
EVERSTAR (K264): In the early stages raced keenly and near the 800 Metres was steadied away from PATCH OF TIME. Apprentice E C W Wong (SOLID SHALAA) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 300 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of EVERSTAR, resulting in EVERSTAR losing its rightful running when being crowded by SOLID SHALAA. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 2 April 2025 and to expire on Monday, 7 April 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. Approaching the winning post was crowded for room between LOOKS OUTSTANDING which shifted in slightly and REGENCY WIN WIN which lay out. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.
SOLID SHALAA (H228): Shortly after the start was crowded by SOLAR RIVER which shifted in. Near the 400 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid SUNNY DARLING. Apprentice E C W Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 300 Metres (see EVERSTAR). Over the final 250 Metres lay out under pressure and proved difficult to ride out. Sent for sampling post-race.

EVERYONE'S GALLOP (K140): After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount jumped awkwardly and as a result settled further back in the field than what was intended.
REGENCY WIN WIN (K214): Near the 250 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of EVERSTAR to continue into clear running. Lay out over the final 200 Metres.
SUNNY DARLING (J171): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LOOKS OUTSTANDING (K022): Over the concluding stages was bumped on the hindquarters by EVERSTAR and became unbalanced. After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount, which was only having its third race start, raced greenly and would derive benefit from tonight’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SOLAR RIVER (J308): Near the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded by CALIFORNIA STAR (Y L Chung) which shifted in to obtain clear running. Y L Chung was reprimanded.
CALIFORNIA STAR (J123): Near the 750 Metres lay in and away from EVERYONE’S GALLOP, made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, Trainer A S Cruz stated that at its last start on 2 March 2025 CALIFORNIA STAR jumped only fairly and then was ridden along to hold an on-pace position which resulted in the horse racing too keenly and refusing to settle. He said CALIFORNIA STAR was advantaged tonight by being able to travel comfortably back in the field due to a stronger pace which resulted in it being able to finish the race off strongly in the Home Straight. STORMI (K084): Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
I P O BROS (K193): Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
PRECISION GOAL (H016): Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race.

FOREVER FOLKS (G463): Approaching the 300 Metres was taken wider by ALL ARE MINE (Y L Chung) which shifted out before being corrected by its rider. Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care.
VIVA CHALEUR (G368): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, K Teetan stated that his mount settled back in the field as instructed. He added he placed VIVA CHALEUR under pressure from the 800 Metres and the horse finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ALL ARE MINE (H293): Jumped only fairly and shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded by FLYING SILVER which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Approaching the 300 Metres shifted out when placed under pressure, resulting in its rider Y L Chung having to stop riding and straighten.
ESCAPE ROUTE (E273): After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount settled back in the field as expected. He said when the pace of the event increased from the 800 Metres his mount came under pressure and did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
QINGYUAN STAR (J350): Shortly after the start was bumped by PRECISION GOAL which shifted out.

CONFRINGO (J322): After the event, H Bentley stated that when he was concerned there was something amiss with his mount near the 600 Metres he eased it out of the event. FORTUNE WARRIOR (H229): After the event, L Ferraris reported that it was not the intention to lead but when caught wide in the early stages he elected to go forward to avoid covering additional ground. He said once he obtained the lead FORTUNE WARRIOR was disadvantaged by being taken on by COLOURFUL WINNER which resulted in his mount being left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FORTUNE WARRIOR was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE WARRIOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

TAIHANG SCENERY (J314): Near the 750 Metres was steadied to avoid GIMME FIVE. After the event, C L Chau reported that in the Home Straight his mount did not respond and did not fully stretch out under pressure. The Veterinary Officer reported that TAIHANG SCENERY made an abnormal respiratory noise after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JOLLY JUMPER (K110): Near the 750 Metres was taken wider by TAIHANG SCENERY. JOLLY JUMPER then raced wide and without cover thereafter. Near the 350 Metres was bumped by VULCANUS which shifted out. After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, did not appreciate the kickback.
FUN N GLORY (G003): Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found suitable to race. After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that her mount raced tight in the middle stages to the inside of GIMME FIVE but did not run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. She added, in her opinion, FUN N GLORY may be better suited on the turf surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GIMME FIVE (J099): Jumped awkwardly. Near the 750 Metres was crowded by RISING FORCE (R Kingscote) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. R Kingscote was reprimanded.

TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482): Bumped at the start. When questioned regarding the horse’s improved performance as compared to its last start on 26 February 2025, Trainer Y S Tsui stated that on that occasion TELECOM FIGHTERS was disadvantaged after making contact with the running rail near the 350 Metres and as a result gave ground thereafter. He said tonight TELECOM FIGHTERS was able to lead the event and run the middle stages outside of standard time which allowed it to finish the race off in the Home Straight. She said after the pace steadied in the middle stages, when it increased from the 800 Metres ARIEL was unable to finish the race off thereafter. SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337): After the event, M F Poon reported that his mount did not appreciate the kickback during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
