GALLANT CROWN (D359): Sent for sampling post-race. TEAM HAPPY (J218): No report. CIRCUIT FIERY (H475): Near the 350 Metres was disappointed for clear running between GALLANT CROWN and SUPERB MOVE which resulted in CIRCUIT FIERY being held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. LUCKY GOLD (G112): After the event K De Melo stated that after jumping awkwardly and losing ground his mount never travelled throughout the race and finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FOREMOST TEDDY (J058): Bumped at the start. After the event L Ferraris confirmed that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions and advised such instructions were issued due to the expected fast pace in the early stages to offset the wide barrier draw. NINJA DERBY (H339): Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. In the early stages raced keenly and got its head up. BRAVE OF FRIENDS (J382): Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003): Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of GALLANT CROWN which shifted in slightly. SILVER DESTINY (J096): Crowded shortly after the start by URBAN TRIUMPH which shifted out. For some distance leaving the 1000 Metres raced keenly and was steadied away from PERFECTO MOMENTS. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. Before being allowed to race again, SILVER DESTINY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. URBAN TRIUMPH (H200): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. TATTENHAM (H121): In the early part of the Home Straight lay in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of SUPERB MOVE. A Hamelin was warned in relation to using his whip forward of the horse’s shoulder. TSUEN WAN GLORY (E403): Shifted in on jumping and was bumped. After the event M Chadwick stated that from the outside barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross to the lead. He said as a consequence the horse was left without a finishing effort when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of TSUEN WAN GLORY, a last start winner, was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race start. Before being allowed to race again, TSUEN WAN GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SIGHT DREAMER (J542): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Leaving the 500 Metres raced tight to the inside of TAIHANG SCENERY. BINGO BABE (K115): On jumping shifted out and away from DRACO. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. After the event Z Purton stated that when his mount commenced only fairly he elected to ride it in a conservative manner in the early stages in accordance with his instructions. Trainer Y S Tsui stated that Jockey Purton was given the option of riding the horse in a conservative manner if it did not begin well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DRACO (J115): No report. KING OBERON (H407): Near the 1000 Metres was briefly crowded by SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted in. As a result KING OBERON raced keenly and was steadied to avoid SPEEDY SMARTIE near the 800 Metres. Briefly held up approaching the 350 Metres when being shifted to the outside of SPEEDY SMARTIE. Sent for sampling post-race. MY FLYING ANGEL (J174): Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385): Jumped only fairly. Near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and as a result was steadied away from JOYFUL LIFE. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind FAIRY HORSE. TAIHANG SCENERY (J314): Bounded on jumping and as a result lost ground. Throughout the early stages raced keenly, got its head up and refused to settle. SPICY KNUCKLES (H463): No report. SUPER ELITE (H247): Approaching the 700 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to obtain cover behind SPEEDY SMARTIE. Near the 350 Metres was bumped and taken wider by KING OBERON. YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. FAIRY HORSE (J144): Jumped awkwardly. Near the 350 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between GLORIOUS EXPERT and SUPER ELITE which was taken out by KING OBERON. As a result FAIRY HORSE was held up between the 350 Metres and approaching the 250 Metres. GLORIOUS EXPERT (J028): No report. JOYFUL LIFE (H426): No report. Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between CHARITY TOGETHER and AGENDA. As a result FAMILY JEWEL made contact with AGENDA leaving the 300 Metres. SENOR TOBA (G103): Slow to begin. STAR CONTACT (E472): Sent for sampling post-race. GENTLEMEN LEGACY (K385): Sent for sampling post-race. AGENDA (K160): Bumped leaving the 300 Metres. MASTER TRILLION (J442): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. PACKING HURRICANE (H137): No report. CHARITY TOGETHER (K254): After the event A Badel stated that he was instructed to ride his mount along in the early stages as the horse has a tendency to not stretch out in the early stages. He said when caught wide he then elected approaching the first turn to continue forward and cross to his inside which resulted in his mount leading the event. ABSOLUTE HONOUR (K260): Crowded near the 800 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CONSPIRATOR (K090): No report. BASIC INSTINCT (K289): In the early stages was shifted across behind runners. GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002): Jumped only fairly. Near the 250 Metres lay in and was bumped. COPARTNER FLEET (K342): Leaving the 800 Metres got its head up when being steadied whilst in the lead. Sent for sampling post-race. A LA CHAMP (K179): Near the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded by ABSOLUTE HONOUR which was taken in by GLORIOUS KINGDOM (J Orman) when that runner hung in and away from GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY despite the efforts of its rider J Orman. As the Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Orman had made every endeavour to prevent his mount from shifting in no action was taken. After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on A LA CHAMP at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, A LA CHAMP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BETTER AND BETTER (K277): For a short distance after the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. GLORIOUS KINGDOM (K269): After the event J Orman stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after jumping only fairly his mount was then crowded between WINNING MACHINE and RUN RAN RUN, both of which shifted ground which resulted in GLORIOUS KINGDOM settling further back. He added that his mount, which was having its first race start, hung in throughout the event and near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid LOVEISINTHEAIR. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER PACE (K349): No report. WINNING MACHINE (K239): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. SUNNY SING SPIRIT (K188): No report. LOVEISINTHEAIR (J550): Sent for sampling post-race. FAST SPEED (K351): Bumped on jumping. Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid FIREFOOT. After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on FAST SPEED at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FAST SPEED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SERANGOON (H296): No report. ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168): No report. S J TOURBILLON (G138): When questioned Apprentice E C W Wong stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when the start was effected his mount jumped well and was able to hold the lead without being pressured to do so. Sent for sampling post-race. PERFECT PAIRING (J331): Shortly after the start was steadied away from ROMANTIC FANTASY which shifted out. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1800 Metres raced tight to the inside of FAST SPEED. DOUBLE WIN (H382): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. He added that his mount travelled comfortably during the event but finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. LUCKY MY WAY (K146): Jumped only fairly. Near the 450 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of DAY DAY VICTORY and in doing so made contact with NO OTHER CHOICE. Sent for sampling post-race. SOLID IMPACT (E447): When questioned Z Purton stated that the instructions were to obtain a position with cover behind midfield. He said after his mount commenced well he looked to comply with his instructions, however, when a number of runners positioned to his inside held their position he was left racing very wide in the early stages. He said as a consequence he then elected to shift his mount behind runners leaving the 1000 Metres to avoid racing wide and to obtain a position with cover as instructed. He said as a consequence SOLID IMPACT settled at the rear of the field and further back than he had intended. He added making the Home Turn he improved to the inside of CONSPIRACY WITNESS but then became held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and leaving the 400 Metres behind ROMANTIC PARTY. He said after the 400 Metres he was able to shift to the inside of ROMANTIC PARTY where SOLID IMPACT finished the race off well. Trainer D J Hall confirmed the instructions and advised that the horse had settled further back in the field than had been intended. Having regard to Jockey Purton’s explanation the Stewards found the tactics that he adopted in the early stages were reasonable to avoid having the horse cover additional ground. Sent for sampling post-race. TAI VICTORY (K124): After the event A Badel confirmed that he was given the option of taking up a forward position. He said after his mount jumped well he was able to comply with the instructions. PARTERRE (E234): No report. LEGENDARY IMPACT (K035): A Atzeni (MAJESTIC DELIGHT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 900 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of DASH, resulting in DASH being crowded and taken in across the running of LEGENDARY IMPACT, resulting in LEGENDARY IMPACT having to be checked. In accordance with previous practices, A Atzeni was fined the sum of $60,000 in lieu of a one-day suspension. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record. ROMANTIC PARTY (K372): No report. CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541): Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres. DASH (K250): Jumped only fairly. Crowded near the 900 Metres. NO OTHER CHOICE (K049): Near the 450 Metres made contact with LUCKY MY WAY which was being shifted out to improve. NOBLE FANS (K038): Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189): A Atzeni pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 900 Metres (see LEGENDARY IMPACT). After the event A Atzeni stated that from a wide barrier he was asked to go forward as the horse had not finished the race off at its most recent start when ridden in a more conservative manner. SOLAR RIVER (J308): Between the 450 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running after being steadied when disappointed for clear running near the 200 Metres between PARTERRE and TAI VICTORY. DAY DAY VICTORY (J423): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KING SHOW (K047): No report.

MEGA FORCE (K200): After travelling a short distance was crowded and became unbalanced when it made contact with EVERYONE’S CLASSIC. CHARMING STEED (E494): No report. BIG RETURN (K192): No report. CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501): The performance of CIRCUIT DUFFY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. EVERYONE'S CLASSIC (J407): Jumped awkwardly. After travelling a short distance was crowded by MEGA FORCE which was taken in by MEEPMEEP which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427): Bumped shortly after the start. ALL ARE MINE (H293): On jumping shifted in, made contact with SPANGLE FORTUNE and became unbalanced. Had difficulty obtaining clear running on the Home Turn. Y L Chung was reminded of his obligations not to use the whip in a manner where his whip arm was raised above shoulder height. PRECISION GOAL (H016): Was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and found to be lame in its left front leg. Acting on this advice PRECISION GOAL was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, PRECISION GOAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

SUGAR BALL (H394): No report. RIDING TOGETHER (K081): Sent for sampling post-race. KA YING GLORY (K247): Noted to have blood at the mouth on arrival at the Start. Was examined by Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Bumped at the start. After the event Z Purton stated that his mount raced too keenly in the early and middle stages and as a result gave ground in the Home Straight. Trainer D A Hayes concurred with the views of Jockey Purton and also advised that KA YING GLORY was unsuited by the delay of the start of this race due to the late withdrawal of SECOND TO NONE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of KA YING GLORY was considered disappointing as compared to its most recent race start. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. AUDACIOUS PURSUIT (K398): No report. OLDTOWN (K105): On jumping was crowded between HANDSOME BLOND and BEAUTY MISSILE which shifted in. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid SUGAR BALL. VIVA TASTE (K415): Jumped awkwardly and was then bumped shortly after by LUCKY SAM GOR. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. BEAUTY MISSILE (H123): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. ROMAN CROWN (J456): Jumped only fairly. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres. GOLDEN LUCK (H159): Making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight endeavoured to improve into a narrow run to the inside of KA YING GLORY where there was not sufficient room to improve. As a result GOLDEN LUCK was held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres when it shifted to the outside of KA YING GLORY. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to LUCKY SAM GOR. HANDSOME BLOND (K241): Bumped at the start. The performance of HANDSOME BLOND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME BLOND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. RAGING RAPIDS (J228): Bumped at the start. Near the 350 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between AUDACIOUS PURSUIT and GOLDEN LUCK which shifted out. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running. LUCKY SAM GOR (K114): Bumped at the start. When questioned M Chadwick stated that the instructions were from the outside barrier to endeavour to obtain a position with cover back in the field. He said in the early stages he attempted to comply with his instructions but when runners to his inside held their position and his mount commenced to race keenly this resulted in LUCKY SAM GOR being caught very wide and without cover. He added that passing the 1000 Metres as his mount continued to race keenly he attempted to obtain a position behind HANDSOME BLOND but when SUGAR BALL held its position to his inside LUCKY SAM GOR was then obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. ONLY U (J037): Leaving the 400 Metres was steadied to avoid RAGING RAPIDS when disappointed for clear running to that runner’s inside. As a result ONLY U was held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SECOND TO NONE (H319): Was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and found to be lame in its left front leg. TURIN MASCOT (H165): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279): Throughout the early and middle stages raced keenly. After the event M Chadwick reported that his mount did not appreciate the "Wet Slow” conditions on the All Weather surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. NEVER PETER OUT (J200): No report. NOBLE PURSUIT (H324): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Bumped near the 500 Metres. MOJAVE DESERT (J330): After the event K C Leung reported that he was instructed to hold a midfield position. He said from barrier 1 his mount commenced well and held an on-pace position without having any pressured applied to do so. Sent for sampling post-race. CHILL KAKA (J486): Had its left front plate refitted in the Parade Ring. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the event Z Purton reported that his mount did not appear to appreciate the "Wet Slow” track conditions and also may have come to the end of its preparation. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have an epiglottic entrapment. The performance of CHILL KAKA was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, CHILL KAKA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. KEMPES (J265): After the event B Avdulla reported that with his mount stepping up in distance he was instructed to hold a more forward position. He added that his mount did not appreciate the "Wet Slow” conditions on the All Weather surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NEW FOREST (K094): When questioned H Bentley stated that his instructions were to go forward and lead if possible. He said whilst his mount commenced well, ARIEL, which was positioned to his inside, also jumped well and showed intent on holding a forward position. He said making the first turn he was able to improve past ARIEL where he held an advantage on the horse and he considered continuing forward to cross that runner. He said when he received a call from Apprentice E C W Wong, the rider of ARIEL, near the 1300 Metres he formed the opinion that runner would maintain its position to his inside and for this reason he did not continue forward to cross that runner as he felt this would result in the pace of the event increasing which would have been to the detriment of his mount. He added that in hindsight, given the early stages of the event were run outside of standard time, he may have been better suited by continuing forward to cross ARIEL. YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. ARIEL (G223): Sent for sampling post-race. LUCKY TOUCH (J203): Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with NOBLE PURSUIT when improving to the outside of TURIN MASCOT. ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467): No report. ALLCASH (K190): Slow to begin. KA YING ATTACK (J391): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. TOP DRAGON (J481): Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between BEAUTY BOLT and WAVE GARDEN which was commencing to give ground. After being shifted to the inside of WAVE GARDEN leaving the 400 Metres TOP DRAGON was then able to be ridden out until near the 250 Metres when it was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SUGAR SUGAR and FIND MY LOVE which resulted in TOP DRAGON being held up between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres. Over the final 150 Metres TOP DRAGON could not be fully ridden out when awkwardly placed close to SUGAR SUGAR. Z Purton was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1100 Metres he endeavoured to improve into a run where there was insufficient room to do so between RISING FROM ASHES and THE RED HARE, resulting in TOP DRAGON having to be checked when disappointed for that run and also resulting in BEAUTY ALLIANCE, which was following, having to be steadied to avoid TOP DRAGON. In accordance with previous practices, Z Purton was fined the sum of $120,000 in lieu of a two-day suspension. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ONE MORE (K261): After the event J Orman stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position preferably with cover. He said in the early stages he elected to continue forward to cross runners to his inside which resulted in his mount leading the event. BEAUTY BOLT (K491): Bumped on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race. THE RED HARE (K312): Was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. MR BOLT (K472): Near the 1100 Metres was steadied away from TOP DRAGON. Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, MR BOLT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LUCK IS BACK (J398): Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded between WAVE GARDEN and RISING FROM ASHES, both of which shifted ground. FIND MY LOVE (H110): No report. RISING FROM ASHES (G209): Near the 1100 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters by TOP DRAGON and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race. WAVE GARDEN (K209): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ALL ROUND WINNER (K382): Jumped only fairly. RAGGA BOMB (K162): On jumping made heavy contact with the left side of its starting gate, resulting in its rider H T Mo also making heavy contact with the starting gate and becoming unbalanced.
