After the race, L Ferraris reported that his mount was able to obtain a handy position in the early stages, but was unable to run on in the Home Straight which he attributed to the early track pattern of tonight’s racing favouring horses that were racing on-pace. Trainer Y S Tsui stated that DOUBLE BINGO had pleased the stable leading into tonight’s event and had galloped well on Saturday, 27 April 2024 when ridden by Jockey Ferraris. He added that DOUBLE BINGO may have been disadvantaged by the "Good to Yielding” track conditions and as the horse is immature, it also resented the kickback during the running of the event. When questioned, C Y Ho stated that from an inside barrier the intention was to be more forward on his mount, but SUPER SIXTY jumped only fairly and then was crowded between FLYING WROTE and DOUBLE BINGO, both of which shifted ground. He added that throughout the event SUPER SIXTY hung in and in the Home Straight proved reluctant to shift to the outside of DOUBLE BINGO and as a result he was not able to fully test his mount over the final 300 Metres due to the manner in which it was racing.
