FEEL-SO-GOOD was slow to begin and lost a considerable amount of ground. On jumping, TOUT VA BIEN, which had begun awkwardly, was steadied when crowded for room between BIG KAHUNA and DIVINE TOUCH. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, RAINBOW STAR hung out badly and shifted wider on the track. After the 800 Metres, RAINBOW STAR, which was continuing to race ungenerously and hang out, shifted wider on the track away from ENGINEERING WONDER. Then when making the Home Turn, RAINBOW STAR hung in and shortly after straightening when placed under pressure shifted in abruptly. In the circumstances, the performance of RAINBOW STAR was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, RAINBOW STAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial around a bend. At the 900 Metres, TOUT VA BIEN, which when proving difficult to settle, was inclined to shift in, was steadied and shifted out to avoid causing crowding on its inside to TRAVEL CONSULTANT. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, TRAVEL CONSULTANT was bumped by BIG KAHUNA. At the 500 Metres, BIG KAHUNA was steadied away from the heels of BEAUTY PLUS which itself was carried back by SEIZE THE DAY which commenced to give ground. G Mossé (DIVINE TOUCH) reported the intention had been to ride his mount quietly as it has been of late, however, DIVINE TOUCH began well, immediately travelled into the bridle and as a consequence travelled further forward than anticipated. BEAUTY PLUS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY PLUS after the race did not show any significant findings. TOUT VA BIEN, KINGSTON MARBLE and MEGABUCKS were sent for sampling.
