On jumping, TREMENDOUS PLUS, which was being taken back, was checked when crowded for room between FORTUNE WARRIOR which shifted out and CLOVIS which began awkwardly and shifted in. FUJIAN PRINCE began awkwardly and lost ground. NEW IDEA was slow into stride. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LUCKY TYCOON was steadied away from the heels of KINGSTON WINNER which after crossing to the lead steadied the tempo. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, AMAZING FORTUNE, which was being taken to a position with cover, was steadied away from the heels of HAPPY MASTER. In the early and middle stages, NEW IDEA travelled wide and without cover. For some distance approaching and passing the 500 Metres, TREMENDOUS PLUS was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of EVERGREEN which was steadied away from the heels of HAPPY MASTER. On straightening, HAPPY MASTER was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY TYCOON which shifted out. After the 200 Metres, CLOVIS was steadied when disappointed for running between AMAZING FORTUNE and FUJIAN PRINCE. HAPPY MASTER and NEW IDEA were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY MASTER and NEW IDEA after the race did not show any significant findings. AMAZING FORTUNE, LUCKY TYCOON and FUJIAN PRINCE were sent for sampling.
