ALL THE WINNERS knuckled over at the start. In the early and middle stages, MAGIC KING proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, POWER AND GOLD got its head on the side and lay in, resulting in SUPER GENERAL being crowded for room. A short distance later, ALL THE WINNERS shifted out away from POWER AND GOLD which itself shifted out to relieve the tightening to SUPER GENERAL, resulting in SUCCESSFUL ERA (D Whyte) being hampered when taken wider. D Whyte said that after this SUCCESSFUL ERA came off the bit and gave ground noticeably thereafter. A veterinary inspection of SUCCESSFUL ERA after the race did not show any significant findings. In the Straight, SUPER GENERAL got its head on the side and hung in. A veterinary inspection of BRILLIANT ONE after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, BRILLIANT ONE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MY TIME and SUPER GENERAL were sent for sampling.
