GREEN CASH was slow to begin. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, HOT SHOT failed to muster speed and travelled wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres. In the early stages, BRAVE HEART got its head on the side and hung in. At the entrance to the Straight, PACKING OK shifted out and bumped BRAVE HEART. Throughout the race, BRAVE HEART travelled wide and without cover. When questioned, J Lloyd stated that in the early part of the Straight WO AI NINN hung in and proved difficult to shift to the outside of runners. He said passing the 300 Metres it was his intention to improve to the outside of BULLISH CASH which was giving ground. He said however that as WO AI NINN was hanging in and clear running was available to the in side of BULLISH CASH, he allowed the horse to shift in to take advantage of this running. He said when he did this, WO AI NINN shifted in abruptly and made heavy contact with GLORY OF INDIA, causing both horses to become badly unbalanced. A veterinary inspection of BOUNCER after the race did not show any significant findings. LIBERATOR and BRAVE HEART were sent for sampling. The Stewards will afford B Prebble the opportunity to explain the disappointing performance of BOUNCER in this race prior to the Happy Valley racemeeting next Wednesday, 26 January 2011.
