TRACK LIGHTNING, which was fractious in the barriers, was slow to begin. LUCKY RECORD was also slow to begin. PILLOWIN was crowded for room at the start between ASSURE and REAL DRAGON, both of which shifted ground. At the 600 Metres, REAL DRAGON shifted out away from the heels of MEGA CASTLE which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLY HIGH. After this, REAL DRAGON travelled wide and without cover. Also at the 600 Metres, LUCKY RECORD shifted out when being checked away from the heels of TRACK LIGHTNING, resulting in DYNAMIC being hampered and taken out onto CHINA GOOD which was taken wider. PROSPEROUS, which was following, was steadied and taken wider as a consequence. A short distance later, ASIAN CITRUS was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY RECORD when that horse shifted back in. Approaching the 200 Metres, TRACK LIGHTNING was shifted out when disappointed for running to the inside of ASSURE. Near the 100 Metres, PROSPEROUS was momentarily steadied when unable to find clear running. Over the concluding stages, TRACK LIGHTNING and FLY HIGH raced tight inside LUCKY RECORD which was taken in by REAL DRAGON which got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure. Also over the concluding stages, MEGA CASTLE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLY HIGH. A veterinary inspection of PROSPEROUS after the race did not show any significant findings. TRACK LIGHTNING, PILLOWIN and LUCKY RECORD were sent for sampling.
