After being loaded, TRACK LIGHTNING reared and flipped over. TRACK LIGHTNING was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of TRACK LIGHTNING. Before being allowed to race again, TRACK LIGHTNING will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Also after being loaded, TOMODACHI became fractious. The Veterinary Officer reported that TOMODACHI was distressed after the race. Before being allowed to race again, TOMODACHI will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. From wide barriers, SHANGHAI PIONEER and CONFUCIUS CLASSIC were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Rounding the Home Turn, BRILLIANT ONE raced in restricted room inside PILLOWIN. For the majority of the race, HONOUR LIST travelled wide and without cover. After the race, D Whyte explained that, in his opinion, at no stage of the race did PILLOWIN handle the track conditions and this accounted for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection of PILLOWIN after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CLASSIC FIGURE had lost its left front plate. TOMODACHI and FLASHING GUY were sent for sampling. <23/6/2011 Additional Veterinary Report>PILLOWIN, which performed poorly, was examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison. He said at that time there were no significant findings. PILLOWIN was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A T Millard this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, PILLOWIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
