JUST GOOD was slow to begin. SPICY SHRIMP began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was checked when badly crowded for room between HAPPY FRIENDS which shifted out and FLORA DANICA which shifted in after also beginning awkwardly. In this incident, FLORA DANICA was also hampered when crowded for room and made contact with the hindquarters of SMART FORTUNE which became unbalanced. Shortly after the start, SHANGHAI PIONEER was bumped by DR UNION which was taken out by FLYING KEEPER which in turn was taken out by HEY HA MASTER. From the outside barrier, MEGABUCKS was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Near the 800 Metres, SMART FORTUNE was left racing wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of DR UNION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped. YOUNG SUPREME and FLYING KEEPER were sent for sampling. <15/4/2013 Additional Veterinary Report> DR UNION, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. DR UNION was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T K Ng this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DR UNION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
