From the outside barrier, ROCK THE TREE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, WIN ALONG raced tight inside LOTUS STRIKES BACK which shifted in. ROUGE ET BLANC travelled wide and without cover until passing the 900 Metres after which SUPER SILKS was left racing wide and without cover. Approaching the 800 Metres, GOOD GOOD VIEW shifted out, resulting in WIN ALONG being taken into a position four wide and without cover. At the entrance to the Straight, ROUGE ET BLANC and THIS IS GLADIATOR raced tight. Passing the 300 Metres, DRAGON BACHELOR, which was giving ground, was bumped by TOWERING STORM which was taken in by GOOD GOOD VIEW. Near the 100 Metres, the whip of C Soumillon (TRUE COMMENT) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of J Moreira (TOWERING STORM). A veterinary inspection of DRAGON BACHELOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ROUGE ET BLANC, TOWERING STORM and UNIQUE HAPPIEST were sent for sampling.
