NUCLEAR POWER was withdrawn on 15.7.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter FIFTY FIFTY (K Teetan). Before being allowed to race again, NUCLEAR POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When about to enter the track after leaving the Parade Ring, ALL YOU NEED slipped, resulting in its rider, C Schofield, being dislodged without incident. On arrival at the Start, ALL YOU NEED was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse had sustained a superficial abrasion inside the left hind fetlock, however, after the necessary consultations was suitable to race. A veterinary inspection of ALL YOU NEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ALL YOU NEED lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and consequently was slow to begin. HINYUEN SWIFTNESS began only fairly. ALL BEST FRIENDS shifted in at the start and bumped FIONESAY. After this, FIONESAY was ridden along, however, took some time to muster speed. Shortly after the start, SHANGHAI MASTER was awkwardly placed outside THOR THE GREATEST which shifted out. From a wide barrier, STARSHIP was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 1150 Metres, IVICTORY was steadied away from the heels of SO FAST (B Prebble) which shifted in when not properly clear. ALL BEST FRIENDS, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence. B Prebble was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. SO FAST lost its right hind plate near the 250 Metres. Near the 150 Metres, ALL YOU NEED was shifted out from behind SHANGHAI MASTER to obtain clear running. Approaching the 150 Metres, STARSHIP was awkwardly placed inside the heels of THOR THE GREATEST. Near the 100 Metres, IVICTORY and FIFTY FIFTY brushed. Passing the 100 Metres, Apprentice K K Chiong (SHANGHAI MASTER) dropped her whip. Throughout the race, FIFTY FIFTY travelled wide and without cover. IVICTORY and FIFTY FIFTY were sent for sampling. <17/7/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>ALL YOU NEED, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. ALL YOU NEED was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer R Gibson this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have sustained a cut to the inside of the left hind fetlock. Before being allowed to race again, ALL YOU NEED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
