CHARITY WINGS began only fairly and then on jumping was steadied away from the heels of GOAL FOR GOLD which shifted in.
As the start was effected, YOURTHEWONFORME lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently was slow to begin.
From a wide barrier, SUPER CLAN was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Making the first turn passing the 1300 Metres, M Chadwick’s saddle shifted forward on GOAL FOR GOLD, placing him at a significant disadvantage for the remainder of the race.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, CHARITY WINGS commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up when being restrained away from the heels of HAPPY AND HEALTHY.
For some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, ART OF RAW got its head up when being checked away from the heels of DON’T MISS.
Making the turn approaching the 1000 Metres, THE JOY OF GIVING and SUPER CLAN bumped.
Passing the 650 Metres, YOURTHEWONFORME was bumped by THE JOY OF GIVING when improving around that horse. After this, THE JOY OF GIVING and YOURTHEWONFORME raced tight and near the 550 Metres THE JOY OF GIVING was steadied when unable to maintain its position between SMART SALUTE and YOURTHEWONFORME.
At the entrance to the Straight, DON’T MISS and HAR HAR HEART raced tight due to both horses shifting ground.
Passing the 300 Metres, SUPER CLAN raced tight outside SPINNING DANCER.
BO DUKE travelled wide and without cover throughout the race and subsequently finished tailed out. The performance of BO DUKE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BO DUKE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HAR HAR HEART and DON’T MISS were sent for sampling.
