BLADE RACER, MCMUNIGAL and LET’S COME BACK all began only fairly. CHARITYDREAM shifted out at the start and bumped HEARTS KEEPER. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, VIVA COUNCIL failed to muster speed and raced back in the field. For a considerable distance after the 1000 Metres, BLADE RACER was awkwardly placed behind GRAND HARBOUR. Rounding the Home Turn, HEARTS KEEPER was awkwardly placed behind BLADE RACER which was commencing to give ground. Then shortly after entering the Straight, HEARTS KEEPER was shifted to the inside of EVER STRONG after being disappointed for running between that horse which shifted out and BLADE RACER which continued to give ground. VIVA COUNCIL was unable to obtain clear running over the final 300 Metres and consequently was not able to be tested. Throughout the race, CHARITYDREAM and MULTIMAX travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of VIVA COUNCIL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GRAND HARBOUR and COOLCELEB were sent for sampling.
