DREAM WARRIORS was withdrawn on 13.6.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAPPILY FRIENDS (K Teetan). Before being allowed to race again, DREAM WARRIORS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AFTER ME began awkwardly and then bumped with DESTIN. LEADING FORTUNE shifted in at the start and inconvenienced CHAMP PATROL. CHEVALIER PRINCE shifted in at the start and bumped MIGHTY POWER. HAPPILY FRIENDS stumbled badly at the start. From wide barriers, GENERAL CASTLEDALE, SAM’S LOVE, NUNCHUKS and WELL DRAGON were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. VICTORY FOR ALL travelled keenly in the early stages when being steadied to obtain cover from a wide barrier. After travelling a short distance, AFTER ME shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of DESTIN. Approaching the 1000 Metres, CHEVALIER PRINCE was left racing wide and without cover. WONDER BRAHMA was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight. CHAMP PATROL lay out under pressure in the Straight. The performance of GENERAL CASTLEDALE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GENERAL CASTLEDALE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, J Moreira was unable to offer any explanation for the performance of GALACTIC which again raced disappointingly today. A veterinary inspection of GALACTIC immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of WONDER BRAHMA immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. CHEVALIER PRINCE and LEADING FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
