WONDERFUL TIMES and SUPREME PATROL bumped at the start. WONDERFUL TIMES then became unbalanced and shifted out away from SUPREME PATROL which also shifted out, resulting in EVERBRAVE and COOL ACE being hampered and GREEN ENVY being checked when crowded for room inside GLORIOUS BUDDY. In this incident, both EVERBRAVE and GREEN ENVY lost ground.
PRAWN YEAH YEAH shifted in at the start and brushed JIMSON THE DRAGON. After this, from a wide barrier, PRAWN YEAH YEAH was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 900 Metres, SPEEDY OPTIMIST shifted out and bumped SUPREME PATROL, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Approaching the 800 Metres, SUPREME PATROL was steadied away from the heels of WONDERFUL TIMES (Apprentice C Wong) which got its head on the side and lay in away from READY CONQUEROR. Apprentice Wong was advised to make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Making the turn near the 550 Metres, SPEEDY OPTIMIST was awkwardly placed close to the heels of READY CONQUEROR.
Passing the 550 Metres, GLORIOUS BUDDY was shifted out away from the heels of COOL ACE which shifted out when awkwardly placed behind WONDERFUL TIMES.
Passing the 500 Metres, PRAWN YEAH YEAH raced in restricted room between EVERBRAVE and COOL ACE as both EVERBRAVE and PRAWN YEAH YEAH improved into tight running between COOL ACE and SUPREME PATROL. In this incident, COOL ACE shifted out away from PRAWN YEAH YEAH and inconvenienced GLORIOUS BUDDY.
Passing the 300 Metres and again near the 200 Metres, JIMSON THE DRAGON raced tight inside THE ABRAXAS which lay in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of WONDERFUL TIMES and COOL ACE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SPEEDY OPTIMIST, CHUNGHWA JINGSHEN and READY CONQUEROR were sent for sampling.
