SENOR TOBA was slow to begin. BERLIN TANGO and SUPER FOOTBALL bumped on jumping. From the outside barrier, CHARITY GO was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. K C Leung (CHARITY GO) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that for some distance passing the 800 Metres he directed his mount out and in doing so made contact with HIT THE SHOT on a number of occasions, causing that horse to become unnecessarily unbalanced. K C Leung was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 16 January 2022 and to expire on Thursday, 20 January 2022 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey Leung’s good race riding record. Passing the 200 Metres, BERLIN TANGO was shifted out away from the heels of SENOR TOBA. Over the concluding stages, ENJOYING shifted out under pressure and brushed the hindquarters of SENOR TOBA. SENOR TOBA and ENJOYING were sent for sampling.
