VALIANT ELEGANCE began awkwardly. SUPREME PATROL shifted out at the start and hampered VITAL SPRING. WINNING STRIKES was steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover. From the outside barriers, ROSSE SCARPE and CRUCIATUS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. CAN’T TOUCH THIS was steadied for some distance in the early stages to obtain cover. Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, VALIANT ELEGANCE got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind APOLLOS BOW. Then approaching the 1000 Metres, VALIANT ELEGANCE shifted out away from the heels of APOLLOS BOW, resulting in SUPREME PATROL being hampered. Passing the 750 Metres, VITAL SPRING was steadied away from the heels of WINNING STRIKES which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of JOY AVENUE (K Teetan) which shifted in. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 600 Metres, VALIANT ELEGANCE was awkwardly placed behind APOLLOS BOW. Passing the 300 Metres, APOLLOS BOW shifted in abruptly. FLYING MONKEY lay out rounding the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection of APOLLOS BOW, SUPREME PATROL and FLYING MONKEY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING MONKEY, SPLIT OF A SECOND and RED MAJESTY were sent for sampling.
