CAPTAIN WIN shifted out at the start and hampered TIANCHI MONSTER. SHINING GEM, which was leaning on the outside of its gate as the start was effected, began awkwardly. GALAXY WITNESS and BEAUTY FIT bumped on jumping. MALDIVES was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. BEAUTY FIT travelled keenly approaching and passing the 1200 Metres and near the 900 Metres was left racing wide and without cover. At the 550 Metres, CAPTAIN WIN was steadied away from the heels of C P BRAVE. CAPTAIN WIN was then held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight and after attempting to improve to the inside of C P BRAVE where there was insufficient room was steadied away from the heels of that horse approaching the 350 Metres. CAPTAIN WIN then continued to be unable to obtain clear running until approaching the 200 Metres. TIANCHI MONSTER was held up for clear running from near the 400 Metres until near the 250 Metres. SIGHT SPIRIT was held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 300 Metres whilst MR ASCENDENCY was also held up for clear running until near the 300 Metres. Approaching the 300 Metres, SO WE JOY was bumped by KEEFY which shifted out to obtain clear running. Approaching the 250 Metres, M F Poon (CHARITY GRACE) dropped his whip. Approaching the 200 Metres, CHARITY GRACE was bumped by PRECISE EXPRESS which, when commencing to give ground, was taken out by BEAUTY FIT which in turn was taken out by SO WE JOY which at this time shifted out away from the heels of KEEFY which also shifted out under pressure. BEAUTYVERSE and KEEFY were sent for sampling.
