Steward Report Predict Pace Map
FLASH FAMOUS shifted out at the start and bumped GO FOR TEA. PACKING FAMOUS and CIRCUIT ELITE bumped at the start, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. PACKING FAMOUS was then steadied to obtain cover. HANG’S DECISION and YEE CHEONG WARRIOR, which bumped at the start, were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. THE MULTIPLIER shifted out on jumping and bumped BIG TWO. THE MULTIPLIER and BIG TWO were then hampered by BULLETPROOF which shifted out. After this, THE MULTIPLIER was steadied to obtain cover. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, BIG TWO, when racing wide, was steadied to obtain cover. Also approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SEAWEED FORTUNE raced in restricted room inside GO FOR TEA which was crowded inside NEARLY FINE which at this time was racing in restricted room inside SPEED FAY FAY (M Chadwick) which shifted in to be racing in a tight four wide position before being corrected by Jockey Chadwick. When SPEED FAY FAY was corrected, CIRCUIT ELITE (V Borges), which had followed that horse across without placing pressure on SPEED FAY FAY, shifted in marginally, resulting in SPEED FAY FAY being taken in slightly and crowding NEARLY FINE in onto GO FOR TEA and SEAWEED FORTUNE. SPEED FAY FAY then got its head on the side and shifted away from CIRCUIT ELITE, causing NEARLY FINE to be taken in onto GO FOR TEA which in turn was taken in across the rightful running of SEAWEED FORTUNE which was checked and lost ground after passing the winning post on the first occasion. When SEAWEED FORTUNE was checked, PACKING FAMOUS was hampered in consequence. As the Stewards were of the opinion that both M Chadwick and V Borges had not ridden carelessly such that a charge of careless riding should be issued given that they had respectively only shifted a relatively small amount of ground, nonetheless both riders were advised to ensure that they leave comfortable racing room for runners to their inside and are aware of their horses shifting ground, however slightly. Passing the 1300 Metres, GO FOR TEA shifted out away from the heels of NEARLY FINE after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. BULLETPROOF, which was racing outside GO FOR TEA, was inconvenienced in consequence. Approaching the 1000 Metres, GO FOR TEA was taken wider and without cover by NEARLY FINE which shifted out away from behind SPEED FAY FAY. GO FOR TEA was then allowed to improve its position after the 900 Metres forward of NEARLY FINE to shift in to race outside the lead near the 750 Metres. BULLETPROOF lost its left hind plate in the middle stages. Near the 400 Metres, THE MULTIPLIER became unbalanced when reluctant to improve inside HANG’S DECISION. Passing the 250 Metres, BULLETPROOF was hampered and taken wider by NEARLY FINE (K H Chan) which shifted out when being ridden along. When BULLETPROOF was taken out, BIG TWO was inconvenienced when shifted out with that horse. K H Chan was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Passing the 100 Metres, PACKING FAMOUS was directed to the inside of NEARLY FINE to continue improving. A veterinary inspection of GO FOR TEA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BULLETPROOF and BIG TWO were sent for sampling.
