LEADING FORTUNE lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and lost ground. TEMPEST EXPRESS and MASSIVE ACTION bumped on jumping. KASA PAPA was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. Also from a wide barrier, S J TOURBILLON was steadied and shifted across behind runners. Approaching the 1100 Metres, NEARLY FINE was crowded for room between LOOKING COOL and COMPASSION SPIRIT (M L Yeung) which shifted in. M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Throughout the race, COMET SPLENDIDO and COMPASSION SPIRIT travelled wide and without cover.
