DIVINE SHINING (G373): Approaching the 400 Metres became unbalanced when STERLING WONGCHOY shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
HONG KONG HALL (G315): After the race, L Ferraris reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HONG KONG HALL, a last start winner, was considered to be disappointing as compared to its last start. Before being allowed to race again, HONG KONG HALL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

STRATHBARRY (H413): Shortly after the start was crowded between RUN RUN TIMING and AMAZING ACE which was taken in by UNIVERSAL PURSUIT which in turn was taken in by HONG KONG HALL. Passing the 400 Metres shifted to the inside of RUN RUN TIMING to secure clear running and raced greenly when placed under pressure for a short distance thereafter. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, STRATHBARRY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
