SEASONS WIT (H223): After the race, Z Purton stated that with his mount carrying top weight of 135 lbs and from the outside barrier stepping up to 1200 Metres for the first time, SEASONS WIT was unable to finish the race off, particularly with the fast pace set through the early and middle stages of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE (H093): Checked over the concluding stages. REWARDING TOGETHER (D334): Near the 1100 Metres was bumped. NORDIC DRAGON (G467): Near the 250 Metres was hampered when taken out by GOKO WIN. SON PAK FU (G265): Passing the 1100 Metres was bumped by GOKO WIN which shifted out and away from BUNDLE OF CHARM. After the 200 Metres improved into a tight run between REWARDING TOGETHER and HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE. Sent for sampling post-race. BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213): Near the 1100 Metres was bumped. EASON (G061): No report. MAJESTIC KNIGHT (G258): Sent for sampling post-race. GOKO WIN (H069): Bumped on the hindquarters passing the 1100 Metres. WONDER KIT (G455): Apprentice Y L Chung (MAJESTIC KNIGHT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages, whilst riding his mount out with the whip, he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE, resulting in HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE being checked away from the heels of MAJESTIC KNIGHT and being taken out and also resulting in WONDER KIT being checked when crowded between BUNDLE OF CHARM and HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE. Taking into account his record, Apprentice Chung was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Tuesday, 26 December 2023 and to expire on Tuesday, 2 January 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2. In addition, in lieu of a fine and having regard to his inexperience as an apprentice, Apprentice Chung was directed to appear before the riding skills panel for remedial training under the provisions of Rule 12(46). A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. POWER KOEPP (E301): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. REWARD SMILE (H256): Withdrawn on 27.11.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, REWARD SMILE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
