FLYING DRAGON and LUCKY FUN bumped at the start. FLYING DRAGON was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SEASONS WIT jumped awkwardly and brushed LIGHTNING STORM. SEASONS WIT was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. FLYING DRAGON raced keenly in the early and middle stages and near the 600 Metres shifted out and bumped LUCKY FUN. A short distance later, LUCKY FUN was then steadied away from the heels of SEASONS WIT. Near the 600 Metres, SEASONS WIT was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA DEEPLY which shifted out slightly and GORGEOUS VITALITY (S De Sousa) which shifted in when not quite clear. S De Sousa was advised to exercise more care. Passing the 150 Metres, MARK THE MOMENT was steadied when initially crowded by HARMONY FIRE (A Hamelin) when that runner shifted in before HARMONY FIRE was then taken in slightly by LIGHTNING STORM. A Hamelin was reprimanded. GORGEOUS VITALITY raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, H T Mo (THE RUNNER) stated that despite being ridden along in the early and middle stages, THE RUNNER did not respond to his riding, failed to stretch out and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection of THE RUNNER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of MARK THE MOMENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HARMONY FIRE, HARMONY N BLESSED and SEASONS WIT were sent for sampling.
