YOO YOO KNIGHT shifted out at the start and bumped DASHING TRIUMPH. STARRY NIGHT jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start, BULB TYCOON raced tight to the inside of G ONE EXCELLENT which shifted in after bumping with DEVIL AND GOLD. DEVIL AND GOLD was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier. PLENTIFUL raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 800 Metres, YOO YOO KNIGHT, which was racing keenly, was steadied when crowded by DASHING TRIUMPH which was taken in slightly by STAND UP (H Bowman). H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. STAND UP made the first turn awkwardly and after the 600 Metres shifted out. As a result, SAVVY DELIGHT improved to the inside of STAND UP and a short distance later was steadied when STAND UP shifted back in. STAND UP continued to lay out for the remainder of the event. Making the turn passing the 600 Metres, DASHING TRIUMPH lay out, resulting in STARRY NIGHT shifting out and away from that runner. After the race, M Dee (STARRY NIGHT) reported that his mount was fractious in the barriers and then raced in a disappointing manner thereafter. He added, in his opinion, STARRY NIGHT may have reached the end of its preparation. A veterinary inspection of STARRY NIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of G ONE EXCELLENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SERGEANT PEPPER and OVERSUBSCRIBED were sent for sampling.
