NOBLE ACE, which was fractious in the barriers, shifted out on jumping, resulting in AMAZING TRAVIS, which jumped awkwardly, being hampered when crowded between NOBLE ACE and ONE FOR ALL. NOBLE ACE was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. On jumping, SPICY SO SMART shifted in and made contact with the right side of its barrier. SPICY SO SMART then shifted in further, placing JAZZ WITH DRAGON in restricted room for a short distance after the start. Shortly after the start, SPARKLING KNIGHT shifted in and made contact with HAPPY TRIO, resulting in SPARKLING KNIGHT becoming unbalanced. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, HAPPY TRIO failed to show sufficient pace to take up a more forward position and raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres. Near the 900 Metres, when ONE FOR ALL steadied the pace in front, SPICY SO SMART, which was following, commenced to race keenly and was checked away from the heels of ONE FOR ALL. A short distance later, HARMONY N HOME was steadied away from SPICY SO SMART. Passing the 900 Metres, FLYING SWORD was steadied to avoid COMPASSION SUPER (H Bowman) which shifted in when not quite clear. H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. In this incident, RIGHTEOUS ARION, which was racing fiercely, was checked to avoid FLYING SWORD which further resulted in BEAUTY MISSION, which was also inclined to race keenly, being checked away from the heels of RIGHTEOUS ARION. In the middle stages, NOBLE ACE raced keenly and for some distance near the 700 Metres was awkwardly placed close to BEAUTY MISSION. Near the 600 Metres, COMPASSION SUPER, which was racing keenly, was steadied to avoid the heels of SPARKLING KNIGHT (A Badel) which shifted in when not clear. After considering the evidence of H Bowman who advised that he was endeavouring to steady COMPASSION SUPER to allow SPARKLING KNIGHT to cross as his mount was racing keenly, A Badel was severely reprimanded and told to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground. Near the 500 Metres, HARMONY N HOME was steadied away from SPICY SO SMART. RIGHTEOUS ARION, which was following and continuing to race keenly, was checked to avoid HARMONY N HOME. Near the 250 Metres, RIGHTEOUS ARION was directed to the inside of HARMONY N HOME to continue into clear running. Over the concluding stages, SPICY SO SMART, which was inclined to lay in, was steadied to avoid RIGHTEOUS ARION when that runner shifted out and as a result SPICY SO SMART was not ridden out to the finish of the race. A veterinary inspection of COMPASSION SUPER immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, COMPASSION SUPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY MISSION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. RIGHTEOUS ARION, ONE FOR ALL and HARMONY N HOME were sent for sampling.
