PRINCE ALEX (G307): No report. DRAGON STAR (H128): Sent for sampling post-race. KASA PAPA (G312): Near the 550 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FORTUNE PRESIDENT. The Stewards considered a protest/objection lodged by C L Chau, the rider of 4th placegetter, KASA PAPA, against AMAZING BOY being declared 3rd placegetter alleging interference near the 200 Metres. After considering the evidence and viewing the patrol films, the Stewards found that near the 250 Metres AMAZING BOY shifted to the inside of DRAGON STAR when clear of KASA PAPA to secure clear running which left a tight run for KASA PAPA to improve into, resulting in KASA PAPA then racing in restricted room to the inside of AMAZING BOY and being struck across the nose by the whip of K C Leung (AMAZING BOY) near the 150 Metres. As the Stewards were satisfied that AMAZING BOY was clear to shift in near the 250 Metres and that KASA PAPA improved into the tight run, the protest/objection was overruled and weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. KILLER INSTINCT (G020): No report. MERCHANT PRINCE (H268): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the 700 Metres raced wide and without cover. NOBLE WIN (H195): Bumped shortly after the start. WIN WIN FIGHTER (E347): Between the 150 Metres and the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of SURE JOYFUL. Sent for sampling post-race. FORTUNE PRESIDENT (G054): Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start. STRONGEST BOY (H027): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 350 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between PRINCE ALEX and FORTUNE PRESIDENT which shifted out. Then was unable to obtain clear running until the 150 Metres. For a short distance near the 100 Metres could not be ridden out when positioned behind NOBLE WIN. SURE JOYFUL (G125): Near the 1500 Metres improved to the inside of DRAGON STAR (K Teetan) as that runner was being shifted in, resulting in SURE JOYFUL being steadied away from DRAGON STAR. Both K Teetan and M F Poon were advised to exercise more care. After the race, M F Poon and Trainer P F Yiu confirmed that the intention was to hold a midfield position, but after commencing well SURE JOYFUL settled more forward than had been anticipated. Sent for sampling post-race. AMAZING BOY (D513): No report. SUPERB MOVE (G304): Caught wide and without cover until near the 950 Metres.
